Md. Israfil Bakhtiar has more than 13 years out of 8 years of post-qualification professional experience specializing in accounting services, audit, taxation, VAT, secretariate, and different advisory services to leading companies and multinational entities operating in Bangladesh.

Mr. Bakhtiar attained his MBA in Finance and Banking from the University of Chittagong in 2009. He completed his Articleship from Hoda Vasi Chowdhury & Co., Chartered Accountants. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant from ICAB in 2015.

In addition, he has been involved in advising clients on transaction services, deal advisory, business and share valuation, financial restructuring, financial and tax due diligence, dispute resolutions, setting up new businesses, corporate governance, and many other similar assignments. Mr. Bakhtiar’s audit client base includes some of the well-known companies operating in Bangladesh, Multinational, as well as highly reputed entities and local large business groups. He is also a senior tax practitioner focusing on direct and indirect tax matters for more than 10 years. He leads a well set up tax team that include tax practitioners and retired high tax officials with many years’ experiences in handing tax compliance and tax dispute matters with taxation authorities. He has been also involved as tax matter expert on various tax appeal and dispute resolution process.
